Vintage dude

Well, it’s been a while. With work, toothache and some decent weather it is no surprise one does not have time to craft!
For today’s card I have chosen a vintage theme, helped by the “Instagram” effect if the photo. I know I used these dies before but in combination with the new SSS June kit I think they work very well.

Bueno…. Ha pasado un tiempo. Entre el trabajo, el dolor de muelas y un poco de sol, no sorprende que no haya tenido tiempo de hacer nada artesanal!
Para la tarjeta de hoy elegí un tema “vintage” (mamá me vas a tener que perdonar pero no de cómo se traduce), con la ayuda de los efectos de Instagram. Ya había usado estos cortantes pero me parece que quedan muy bien con los papeles y demás que forman parte de la edición de Junio de SSS kit.

Happy days

Well Hello. It’s been a while, I seem to have lost track of time. It’s definitely hard to keep up with all the crafts.
Anyway, for today’s card I tried a technique I don’t normally use, which is to stamp directly onto the card. I’m quite pleased with the result.

Hola, al parecer ha pasado un tiempo desde el último post. definitivamente es difícil con todas las artesanías que uno quiere hacer.
Pero bueno, para la tarjeta de hoy probé una técnica que no uso seguido y que es estampar la tarjeta misma. La verdad me gusta como quedó.

I love balloons in cards, they look so nice, you can try different things and add texture, glitter, etc….
For this card of course I thought of a boy. The colours are quite subtle. The picture may not show much but I added some glitter to the balloon and a trail as if it were fairy dust 🙂

Me encantan los globos en tarjetas. Quedan muy lindos y uno puede probar distintas cosas. Agregar brillo, textura, etc.
Para esta tarjeta obviamente pensé en un varón, los colores son delicados. La foto quizás no muestra el detalle pero agregué brillo al globo y tiene como un caminito que parece de polvo de hadas. 🙂

Today’s card is one I made for somebody at work. The premise was simple, a card from a bridesmaid for the bride to be. I played with the paper piecing and added some ribbon to the dress for fun. I’m quite pleased with the result. Please comment if you like it.

La tarjeta que estoy presentando hoy fue hecha a pedido de alguien en mi oficina. La consigna era sencilla, una tarjeta de la dama de honor para la novia. Me gustó la idea de usar el papel para el vestido y adornarlo un poco con cinta. Me gusta como salió. Comentá si te gusta.

I am struggling to fit all of my crafts in the time I have after work and during the weekends.
I have spent this weekend so far with a bit of cardmaking and sewing but to add to the mix, the sun has finally decided to come out and that’s an opportunity one shouldn’t miss. 🙂

Estoy teniendo problemas tratando de darle el tiempo suficiente a todas las “artesanías” que quiero hacer en el tiempo después de trabajar y los fines de semana.
Este fin de semana, hasta ahora lo he pasado haciendo tarjetas, cosiendo un poco, pero para colmo ahora salió el sol y esa es una oportunidad que uno no se debe perder…. 🙂

I have two cards to share today, which I made with papers of the same collection. I tried the animal theme as I wanted to use the doggy stamp with the kennel that I had bought a long time ago and got lost in the bottom of the stash.
